Dr. Lauren Kight, DMD

Orofacial Health & Myofunctional Therapy Specialist

Dr. Lauren Kight is a dentist and myofunctional therapist whose own health journey led her to specialize in holistic orofacial development and wellness. With a background in dentistry and extensive training in myofunctional therapy, she is passionate about addressing the root causes of chronic pain, sleep-breathing disorders, and orofacial dysfunction.

After years of practicing dentistry and struggling to find effective treatment for her own children’s sleep and breathing issues—while also dealing with her own chronic TMJ, neck, and shoulder pain—Dr. Lauren made the decision to step away from general dentistry. Her discovery of an undiagnosed tongue tie and orofacial myofunctional disorders as the source of her chronic pain fueled her commitment to helping others in similar situations.

Dr. Lauren collaborates with a trusted network of like-minded providers to ensure patients receive high-quality, integrative care. She has trained with industry-leading programs, including Myomentor, the Buteyko Clinic, Myomunchee, ALF InterFACE Academy, Healthy Start, the Breathe Institute, the Academy for Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy, and the Clinical Foundation for Orthopedics & Orthodontics.

Her previous experience in an airway-centered dental practice allowed her to treat patients with TMJ disorders and children with craniofacial growth deficiencies. Now, as a myofunctional therapist, Dr. Lauren brings a unique, comprehensive perspective to treatment, bridging the gap between dentistry and holistic therapy to support long-term wellness for patients of all ages.
